Fire spreads near Tanourine Cedar Reserve; residents seek army helicopters

A fire near the Tanourine Cedar Reserve has grown in scale. Local residents and the president of the Tanourine municipality issued an appeal to the Lebanese Army through MTV, requesting the deployment of helicopters to assist in extinguishing the blaze.

The request followed a malfunction of the first helicopter’s water bucket during firefighting operations. Civil defense personnel encountered significant difficulty reaching the fire site, limiting their ability to intervene directly on the ground.
