Forgotten by Serbia: We Stress the Importance of Continued Support from Friendly Countries for the Army

In the context of his visit to the Serbian capital Belgrade to represent the President of the Lebanese Republic at events marking the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, Minister of National Defense Lieutenant General Michel Moussa met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Matović, accompanied by Lebanon's Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia Youssef Jabr. The meeting focused on Lebanese-Serbian relations and ways to enhance them across all possible fields.

The discussion also addressed options available for the period following the conclusion of international forces' missions in southern Lebanon at the end of this year, as well as the general situation facing Lebanon, particularly the conditions in the south.

Within this framework, the Minister of National Defense stressed the importance of continued support from friendly countries for the Lebanese Army, thanking Serbia for its unwavering support of the Lebanese people and military institution.

In turn, the Serbian Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Lebanon's firm stance supporting respect for Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
