Get Ready for Bad Weather! Strong Winds and Thunderstorms Hit Lebanon in the Coming Hours!

The Estimation Division at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's Meteorological Department predicted that tomorrow's weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with fog on the highlands and a slight drop in temperatures. Winds will remain active, with scattered rain accompanied by lightning and thunder, while wide clearings are expected.

The bulletin stated the following:

-General Situation:

Relatively unstable autumn weather prevails over Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin, with temperatures below seasonal averages due to the influence of a low-pressure system centered southwest of Turkey, leading to scattered rain with lightning, thunder, and active winds in the north.

Average temperatures for September: Tripoli between 22 and 32°C, Beirut 24 and 32°C, Zahle between 16 and 32°C.

-Expected Weather in Lebanon:

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with fog on the highlands and a slight rise in temperatures. Winds will remain active, and clouds are expected to thicken at night with a chance of some rain.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog on the highlands and a slight drop in temperatures. Winds will remain active, and scattered rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is expected, along with wide clearings.

Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog on the highlands and a drop in temperatures. Scattered rain accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds is expected, with wide clearings occurring.

Friday: Partly cloudy to sometimes cloudy with fog on the highlands and no significant change in temperatures. Scattered rain accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds is expected, along with wide clearings.

-Surface Winds: Southwesterly, active, ranging between 15 and 50 km/h, potentially reaching 60 km/h in the north.
-Visibility: Medium on the coast, sometimes poor on the highlands due to fog and rain.
-Relative Humidity on the Coast: Between 45 and 80%.
-Sea Condition: Rough, wave height approximately one and a half meters, water surface temperature: 28°C
