The Civil Service Board announced in a statement "opening the field to fill the position of full-time president of the Public Procurement Authority and the position of full-time member of the authority (4 members), from 15/5/2026 to 5/6/2026 inclusive," calling on "Lebanese of specialization and competence who meet the required conditions to submit their nomination applications within the specified deadline on the official website of the Civil Service Board, provided that applications submitted by hand or otherwise are not accepted."

The statement noted that "this announcement comes as a first step to form the Public Procurement Authority, which is an independent administrative body established under Law No. 244 dated 19/7/2021, and is tasked with organizing, supervising, monitoring, and developing public procurement procedures, systems, and performance, coordinating between various procuring entities, and providing technical support and guidance to them. The holders of the presidency and membership of the authority undertake essential tasks in developing the public procurement system, formulating its policies, enhancing governance and compliance, keeping pace with digital transformation, as well as contributing to updating its legal and regulatory framework."

He added: "The announcement specified the general and special conditions that must be met in the candidates, most notably holding a master's degree in one of the specializations specified in its text, and having proven practical experience of no less than ten years in the field of public procurement, in addition to a number of additional qualifications and experiences that are considered added value, especially leadership or supervisory experience."

The Board stressed "the necessity for the candidate to fulfill all required conditions, and to organize a file with documents proving academic qualifications and practical experiences," calling on "those wishing to apply to review the texts of the two announcements published on its official website https://portal.csb.gov.lb/ar/FirstCategory/Default and adhere to all conditions and procedures specified therein."
