Hajjar Continues Monitoring Displaced Persons' Conditions and Needs

Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar affirmed that municipalities are key partners in monitoring citizens' affairs and meeting their needs, stressing that the ministry will spare no effort in supporting them, thereby enhancing their ability to respond to residents' requirements.

Hajjar received a delegation from the Bint Jbeil Municipalities Union in his office, where he was briefed on the conditions of the towns and their inhabitants, including displaced persons, amid ongoing Israeli attacks and various existing needs across different levels.

He reiterated the ministry's support for municipalities and its oversight of related files, particularly the independent municipal fund and the distribution of revenues owed to municipalities, which contributes to empowering local councils to fulfill their duties and ensure services for citizens.

Additionally, Hajjar received Sheikh Zaid Bakar Zakaria, Grand Mufti of Akkar, at the head of a delegation, with discussions focusing on regional affairs and the needs of the local population.
