Health Ministry Statement on Ebola Disease
The Ministry of Public Health is closely monitoring the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, following WHO's declaration of a public health emergency.

The Ministry of Public Health emphasized its close monitoring of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, which the World Health Organization recently declared a public health emergency of international concern.
In an official statement, the ministry said it follows daily updates in coordination with the World Health Organization regarding any recommendations or health measures issued by the organization according to the evolving epidemiological situation. It also stressed the importance of strengthening epidemiological surveillance measures within health institutions.
The ministry concluded by stating that, so far, there are no international recommendations to impose travel or international trade restrictions or to take special measures at border crossings.
