The Israeli army, through its spokesperson Ella Waweya, announced the execution of intensive airstrikes over the weekend targeting about 100 sites in various areas of southern Lebanon, which it said belong to Hezbollah.

According to Waweya, the strikes carried out today, Saturday, targeted observation posts, military infrastructure, and a weapons warehouse belonging to the party, considering that these sites were used by its elements to carry out operations against Israeli forces.

She added that the Israeli army launched additional strikes yesterday, Friday, on military installations belonging to the party in the Tyre area of southern Lebanon, as part of the ongoing confrontations and tension on the southern border.

The spokesperson also stated that Hezbollah launched mortar shells, booby-trapped drones, and other aerial means over the past 24 hours towards areas where Israeli forces are deployed in the south, noting that these projectiles fell near the positions of the forces.

She explained that the army did not activate sirens during those attacks, confirming that this was done according to the procedures and policies adopted by the Israeli military establishment.
