Intensive inspection tours on fuel stations and fuel distribution companies
The Ministry of Economy and Trade, through the Consumer Protection Directorate and its regional offices, continues to monitor the fuel market situation in various Lebanese regions amid rising demand and pressure on available quantities, especially diesel, to ensure distribution regularity, prevent monopolization, and protect consumers.

In the south, Economy Service teams followed up on fuel distribution operations and carried out inspection procedures that included opening closed stations whose tanks contain gasoline and diesel, and preparing seizure reports against violators in cases of monopolization or non-compliance with the official price, in Tyre, Al-Bass, Burj Rahhal, Rum, Aanane, and Jezzine. Follow-up on distribution companies also continues to ensure that received quantities reach the markets in accordance with legal procedures.
The inspection tours also included Nabatieh Governorate, to ensure distributors comply with approved schedules, verify the distribution of all received quantities, and monitor any developments related to material availability and demand movement in safe areas.
In the north, the Economy Service continued its tours on fuel stations and distributing companies in Al-Beddawi, Anfeh – Koura, Tripoli, Chekka – Batroun, Zgharta, and Akkar, to follow up on distribution mechanisms amid increasing pressure on demand and relative scarcity in some markets.
In parallel, the Consumer Protection Directorate’s tours included restaurants and tourism establishments in Tripoli, Batroun, and Dinniyeh, regarding compliance with public safety and food health conditions, and took necessary measures against violators.
