Lebanon
Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar emphasized the government's dedication to establishing full state control over Lebanon's territory amid ongoing challenges.

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar praised the national and humanitarian role played by municipalities in alleviating the suffering of displaced people and providing for their basic needs amid Lebanon’s exceptional circumstances caused by the ongoing Israeli aggression against its land and people.
Delivering a speech at the graduation ceremony for participants of the professional diploma in municipal studies at Notre Dame University–Louaize, Al-Hajjar stated that municipalities have once again proven to be essential partners of the state in confronting crises and strengthening citizen resilience.
He noted that Lebanon is currently facing a critical phase requiring the highest levels of national unity and solidarity among all Lebanese citizens. He stressed that the Lebanese state continues its political and diplomatic efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement reached, ensuring its continuation to halt Israeli attacks and provide a necessary gateway toward a phase of stability and security. This would lead to the liberation of remaining occupied territories, facilitate the return of displaced persons to their regions, and create the conditions needed for reconstruction.
Al-Hajjar affirmed that the Lebanese government is committed to extending the authority of the state over all its lands, enhancing the presence and capacities of its legitimate institutions, and consolidating security and stability to safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty and protect the safety and future of its people.
He concluded by stating that this approach represents the true guarantee for protecting the homeland, confronting challenges, and initiating the path toward recovery and development that all Lebanese aspire to.
