Interior Minister Highlights Supportive Message of Trump-Aoun Summit for Lebanon

President Michel Aoun received Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar, during which they reviewed the security situation across various Lebanese regions. The president was updated on the measures and procedures implemented by security agencies to maintain safety and stability.

Al-Hajjar stated, "I affirmed my support for the national efforts led by the president to protect Lebanon, safeguard its sovereignty, and end the imposed war, aiming ultimately for Israeli withdrawal and the extension of state authority over all Lebanese territories."

He added, "We expressed satisfaction with the positive atmosphere surrounding President Aoun's visit to Washington and the welcome and praise he received, reflecting growing international confidence in Lebanon and its legitimate institutions." He also noted that "the historic summit between President Aoun and U.S. President Donald Trump marked a pivotal moment in Lebanese-American relations and conveyed a clear message of support for Lebanon."
