Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar convened a meeting to review security and logistical preparations for the opening of Rene Moawad Airport in Al-Qulayaat.

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar held a meeting dedicated to discussing preparations related to the operation of President Rene Moawad Airport in Al-Qulayaat. The session included the attendance of Major General Raed Abdullah, General Director of the Internal Security Forces; Major General Hassan Shaqir, General Director of General Security; Brigadier General Moussa Karnib, Commander of the Security Apparatus for Embassies and Public Institutions within the Internal Security Forces; Brigadier General Ezzat Al-Khatib, Acting Commander of the Rafic Hariri International Airport Security Force in Beirut; and Colonel George Dagher, Head of the General Security Department at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut.
During the meeting, Al-Hajjar received a detailed presentation outlining the work plan alongside the security and logistical measures necessary to support the operation of President Rene Moawad Airport in Al-Qulayaat. Particular attention was given to securing the required equipment and personnel to ensure smooth functioning of the airport.
Al-Hajjar emphasized that "security readiness constitutes the fundamental pillar for the success of this initiative," stressing the "need to complete all security and technical requirements and to enhance coordination among the various concerned agencies."
He also called for "raising the level of preparedness and readiness to guarantee the commencement of operations at the airport immediately after the completion of the necessary preparations, adhering to the best established standards, and reflecting the image of the Lebanese state and its capability to efficiently and securely manage its vital facilities."
