Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reports significant progress in Lebanon conflict mediation and US-Iran negotiations in Switzerland.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, stated on Monday that persistent mediation efforts by Pakistan and Qatar have yielded substantial progress toward ending the conflict in Lebanon.
In a post on the platform "X," Araghchi noted that oil and petrochemical exports have been suspended, the blockade lifted, and some frozen assets released.
Commenting on the conclusion of negotiations with the United States, the Iranian foreign minister also mentioned an agreement on launching a comprehensive reconstruction and development plan in Iran.
Araghchi concluded his post by referring to the "first real test" as the "conflict resolution cell in Lebanon," which nearly undermined the negotiations before their conclusion was announced.
Earlier on Monday, Qatar and Pakistan announced the conclusion of the first round of US-Iran negotiations held in Switzerland, describing the atmosphere as positive.
Prior to this, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement confirming that its official delegation in Switzerland had completed its negotiations amid progress in the talks.
The negotiations ended following a tense start marked by Tehran's announcement of re-closing the Strait of Hormuz and US President Donald Trump's repeated threats to resume attacks on Iran.
The joint statement indicated that the United States and Iran agreed on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days.
According to the statement issued by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, technical talks will continue throughout the rest of the week at the Swiss mountain resort of Burgenstock.
The statement added that the parties agreed on a mechanism to end fighting in Lebanon and established a communication line to help ensure the safe passage of commercial ships through the disputed strait.
