The Israeli army reported that earlier on Saturday, an explosive device detonated on a Lebanese army vehicle in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one Lebanese soldier and injuries to two others.

Following an investigation, the Israeli army clarified that the explosive device was not theirs but is likely planted by Hezbollah. The incident occurred in the Al-Mansouri area, located within the security zone in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces had not been present in this area during the recent period.

The army added that the Lebanese army vehicle entered the security zone without prior coordination with Israeli forces, contrary to the established coordination system.

The Israeli army urged civilians and forces in the area to avoid entering regions where Hezbollah continues to pose a threat and to coordinate movements in advance according to the established procedures to ensure their safety.
