Israeli Army Selects Three Southern Lebanese Villages for Initial Withdrawal
The Israeli military has identified the villages of Frun, Ghunduriya, and Western Zoutar in southern Lebanon as starting points for its withdrawal.

According to sources cited by Haaretz, the Israeli army has pinpointed three villages in southern Lebanon—Frun, Ghunduriya, and Western Zoutar—as locations from which it will begin withdrawing its forces.
The sources clarified that Israeli troops are not permanently stationed in Western Zoutar, whereas they maintain a fixed presence in the towns of Frun and Ghunduriya. This distinction means that the withdrawal from Frun and Ghunduriya is more directly tied to forthcoming field operations.
Haaretz also reported that the U.S. administration is considering establishing a mechanism to monitor the ceasefire in Lebanon, modeled after the system implemented in the Gaza Strip. This initiative aims to ensure the enforcement of agreements and to monitor any potential violations.
