Israeli Army: We Targeted Hezbollah's Weapons Depots and Command Center in the South

The Israeli army stated it attacked infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in several areas of southern Lebanon during the past 24 hours.

In a statement, it said the strikes were a response to an incident that occurred on Wednesday in the town of Majdal Zun, which, according to the statement, resulted in the deaths of reserve lieutenant Har'eel Birnstock and reserve sergeant first class Tamer Faknin, and left four other soldiers seriously wounded due to an explosion in the area.

The statement added that the strikes targeted weapons depots, a command center, and other infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.

The Israeli army confirmed its forces continue to be deployed in the security zone in southern Lebanon, as agreed, noting they will continue working to eliminate what it described as threats targeting Israeli civilians and its troops.
