Minister of Education and Higher Education Reema Karami met with a delegation from the European Union, headed by Sarah Dominoni, Head of the Governance and Social Sector Section at the EU Mission in Lebanon. The delegation included members from the mission and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). In the presence of the minister's working team, the meeting reviewed the completed stages of technical support provided by the EU to the Ministry of Education through GIZ, as well as the technical support plan that the EU will provide to the ministry in the upcoming phase.

Minister Karami presented the ministry's plan, its needs, and the challenges it faces to ensure educational continuity under current circumstances. She emphasized "the networking between the ministry's plan and the European technical support, which comes to meet the ministry's needs."

Subsequently, Minister Karami met with the Mufti of Akkar, Sheikh Zaid Bakkar Zakaria, who was accompanied by a delegation of local notables. They discussed the educational needs of schools and vocational institutes in the region and how to secure these resources at the beginning of the new academic year.

She then received Palestinian Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Qassem Asaad Al-Asaad, during which they discussed the education of Palestinian students residing in Lebanon.

Karami also met with Akkar MP Mohammad Suleiman, reviewing the needs of schools in Akkar and ways to address them educationally and administratively.

Finally, Minister Karami met with a delegation from the "Friends of Public Schools in Metn" association, led by Raghdah Yashoui. They reviewed the association's activities supporting public schools in Metn and coordinated efforts to meet their requirements.
