Labor Ministry Extends Deadline for Foreign Workers' Legal Status Regularization to September 30
Lebanon's Labor Minister extends the deadline for foreign workers and employers to regularize their status under the foreign labor regulation decree until September 30, 2026.

Minister of Labor Mohamed Haidar has issued Decision No. 159, which extends the application of Decision No. 157 dated 16/11/2025 concerning the regularization of foreign workers violating the foreign labor regulation decree until 30 September 2026.
This extension reflects the Ministry of Labor's commitment to providing employers and foreign workers who are in violation with an additional opportunity to legalize their status, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The move aims to contribute to the organization of the labor market and reinforce adherence to existing legislation.
The Ministry of Labor has urged all concerned parties to take advantage of the extended deadline and to promptly complete the regularization procedures within the specified timeframe to avoid legal prosecution and enforcement measures after the deadline expires.
