Lady of the Mountain': This Confirms the Failure of Iran's Hezbollah Project

The attendees, in a statement, noted that "before Prime Minister Najib Mikati's departure to New York to represent Lebanon at the regular session of the United Nations General Assembly, and after the suspicious collapse of Hezbollah's fortifications in the Ali al-Tahir hills—which ended the myth of Iranian-supervised weaponry effectiveness—[the meeting] called on Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri to convene a special general session on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 15th and 16th, to discuss government policy. In this context, 'Lady of the Mountain' affirms the following points:

- First, the Parliament is the appropriate forum to raise and debate outstanding issues according to constitutional procedures. It is natural for members of parliament to address the issue of Hezbollah's weapons being handed over to the army, as stipulated in the National Reconciliation Document adopted in Taif in 1989—34 years before the Gaza Support War and 36 years before avenging Khamenei. Therefore, 'the meeting' holds MPs accountable for defending the constitution and considers any deviation from it at this moment a step toward the unknown, which Hezbollah and behind it Iran desire. Do not let them play with Lebanon. Constitution first.

- Second, the President's tour and security leaders' visit to Nabatieh constitute a significant step in affirming the state's presence in the south following recent turbulent developments, and also reflect the failure of Iran's Hezbollah project in the south and across Lebanon.
