Lebanese Army Deployment Stages in Southern Trial Towns Outlined
Italy offers to collaborate with the US on verification for southern Lebanon's trial zones; Lebanese army deployment plan progresses amid Israeli opposition.

A diplomatic source told Sky News Arabia that Italy has proposed cooperating with the United States on the verification mechanism for the "trial zones" in southern Lebanon. The source noted that Lebanon consents to the involvement of any European country within this mechanism.
The source added that the Lebanese army's deployment in the town of Fron and subsequent operational steps were based on a working paper submitted by the Lebanese army.
It was further explained that private property inspections in Fron will be conducted in the coming days in coordination with the Lebanese judiciary.
The deployment plan involves the Lebanese army spreading out after Fron to Zoutar al-Gharbi, followed by Al-Ghandouriya and Qalaouiya, then Burj Qalaouiya, and finally Sarifa.
The source pointed out that the Israeli army refuses to withdraw from Zoutar al-Sharqi, which obstructs the implementation of the "trial zones" plan in southern Lebanon.
