The Lebanese Embassy in Washington revealed today the signing of a tripartite framework agreement involving Lebanon, the United States, and Israel. The event was attended by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and was described by the embassy as a significant milestone in diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring security, stability, and prosperity to Lebanon.

The embassy's statement detailed that the agreement includes the implementation of two pilot zones featuring an Israeli withdrawal, deployment of the Lebanese army, and disarmament of non-state armed groups. These initial measures represent the first step toward a gradual and comprehensive withdrawal from all Lebanese territory, ensuring full respect for Lebanon's sovereignty.

This achievement was realized under the leadership of President Joseph Aoun, in cooperation with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and through the coordinated efforts of Lebanon's constitutional institutions. The embassy emphasized that Lebanon has charted a sovereign path based on dialogue rather than conflict.
