The media office of the Lebanese Forces party issued a statement addressing recent developments.

It stated that resistance groups and their allies within the Free Patriotic Movement have recently resumed using outdated tactics that Lebanese voters rejected at the polls. These tactics involve deception, organized smear campaigns, and futile attempts to undermine the Lebanese Forces through black propaganda they have long mastered.

The statement noted that these groups frequently bring forward individuals claiming to have been members of the Lebanese Forces, who then present fabricated stories and false statements unrelated to truth or reality.

Recently, a man named Michel Fayyad, residing in France, was introduced; he has been spreading a series of lies about the Lebanese Forces, falsely asserting that his father was close to President Bachir Gemayel in the late 1970s. Yesterday, another individual named Joseph Saloum appeared, claiming to have been part of the Lebanese Forces before circulating a new set of fabricated allegations and falsehoods aimed at serving the known political agenda of the resistance axis.

The Lebanese Forces said it had remained silent for a long time regarding such low-level slander and fabrication but will no longer continue this approach. The first step will be to file a lawsuit against Joseph Saloum, as the party does not recognize anyone by that name, based on reports from some marginal websites that hosted and promoted his statements. Legal action will also be taken against the website that provided him a platform to disseminate these lies.

From this point forward, the Lebanese Forces will apply the same approach to anyone who deliberately fabricates lies, spreads slander, or participates in organized smear campaigns targeting the party to serve the resistance axis and its media and political tools.
