The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport confirmed ongoing road rehabilitation and asphalt resurfacing across several districts, including Aley, Chouf, Zgharta, Jbeil, and the Metn, with safety measures and traffic diversions in place.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport stated it is continuing rehabilitation and asphalt paving works on multiple roads throughout the country as part of its program to address accumulated damage and improve the condition of the national road network and road safety.
The ministry reported completion of rehabilitation and paving on the Mifouq–President Michel Suleiman Interchange road, the Bahadidat road in the Jbeil district, and several roads in Majdalaya within the Zgharta district. On these sections, damaged segments were repaired, prepared, and overlaid with new asphalt layers in accordance with technical specifications.
Active rehabilitation and paving operations are now underway in Ain Anoub, Ainab, and Badghan in the Aley district; in Al-Bireh in the Chouf district; and in Al-Mansouriya in the Metn district. These projects involve repairing damaged road segments, preparing the surfaces, and applying new asphalt layers.
In the Metn district, the ministry is also carrying out repair works on damaged retaining walls along the public road connecting Bikfaya and Daher El Chweir. In coordination with the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, temporary traffic diversions and alternative routes have been implemented to maintain vehicle movement between the affected areas during construction.
The ministry emphasized that these interventions are critical to enhancing regional connectivity, facilitating mobility, and strengthening road safety on the targeted routes.
The ministry expressed appreciation to local residents and road users for their patience and understanding during the execution of the works. It affirmed that rehabilitation and maintenance crews will proceed sequentially to other roads, prioritizing field needs and operational requirements across all Lebanese regions.
