Will Lebanon See a Noticeable Rise in Temperatures?
The Lebanese Meteorological Department forecasts partly cloudy weather with fog on elevated areas, slight temperature increases in mountainous and inland regions, and stable temperatures along the coast. Light scattered showers are expected in northern highlands before noon.

Forecast by the Forecasting Division at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's Meteorological Service indicates that tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy with fog over elevated areas, a slight rise in temperatures in mountainous and inland regions while remaining stable along the coast. Scattered light rainfall is expected over northern highlands in the morning hours, with skies clearing to partly cloudy after midday.

A moderate summer climate prevails across Lebanon, with temperatures below seasonal averages and some local fluctuations. This pattern will continue until Wednesday, when the region gradually experiences relatively warm air masses originating from the Arabian Peninsula, leading to a noticeable increase in temperatures—especially in mountainous and inland areas—exceeding seasonal norms and persisting through the weekend.
Seasonal average temperatures for August: Tripoli between 24 and 32°C, Beirut between 25 and 33°C, Zahle between 18 and 35°C.

Tuesday:
Partly cloudy with fog over elevated areas, with no significant change in temperatures and active winds during the morning hours. Light, scattered rain showers are expected, particularly over northern highlands.
Wednesday:
Partly cloudy with fog over elevated areas, slight temperature rise in mountainous and inland regions while remaining stable along the coast. Scattered light precipitation expected over northern highlands in the morning, with skies clearing to partly cloudy after midday.
Thursday:
Generally partly cloudy with localized fog over elevated areas and a noticeable additional temperature rise in mountainous and inland regions, exceeding seasonal averages, while coastal temperatures remain largely unchanged, accompanied by high humidity levels increasing the perceived heat.
Friday:
Partly cloudy with further temperature increases, especially in mountainous and inland areas, and continued high humidity along the coast, intensifying the feeling of heat.
-Coastal temperatures: 24 to 32 degrees, mountainous areas: 15 to 27 degrees, inland areas: 18 to 35 degrees.
-Surface winds: Southwesterly during the day, occasionally strong, variable and weak at night, speed ranging between 15 and 35 km/h.
-Visibility: Moderate along the coast, deteriorating over medium elevations due to fog.
-Relative humidity along the coast: between 55 and 75%.
-Sea conditions: Moderately rough to low wave height, surface water temperature: 29°C.
-Atmospheric pressure: 758 mm Hg.
