Dr. Amer Al-Bassat, Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade, received a delegation from the Lebanese-Kuwaiti Business Council led by Asaad Saqqal at his ministry office today. The meeting focused on the latest economic developments in Lebanon and ways to strengthen economic relations between Lebanon and Kuwait.

The delegation included Hadi Soubra, George Nasrawi, Alphonse Deeb, Hussein Battal, Marwan Ramadan, Najwa Al-Khatib, and Joe Hatim, alongside Saqqal.

A statement issued after the meeting emphasized the importance of the longstanding fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and the necessity of developing economic cooperation to serve the interests of both nations and their peoples.

The attendees underscored the significance of enhancing collaboration between the Lebanese private sector and its Kuwaiti counterpart, recognizing this as a fundamental pillar for the growth and expansion of bilateral economic relations.

The statement also noted that the meeting concluded with an agreement on a set of practical measures to be implemented under the direct supervision of Minister Al-Bassat, aimed at achieving the desired objectives and reinforcing economic cooperation between Lebanon and Kuwait.
