The following statement was issued by the Board of Directors of Electricite du Liban:
In its meeting this evening, the Board of Directors of Electricite du Liban decided to cut off electricity supply to public administrations, public institutions, and independent services, including water utilities, which have failed to settle their outstanding dues to Electricite du Liban despite repeated warnings directed at them, with the exception of government hospitals, effective from the morning of Monday, November 2, 2026.
