Low Pressure System Hits Lebanon with Heavy Rain and Active Winds Until Friday

Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin remain under the influence of a low pressure system currently centered southwest of Turkey. It is accompanied by relatively cold air masses and brings heavy rains, sometimes intensifying active winds, and thunderstorms. Its impact will continue until Friday morning, when it recedes and the weather gradually stabilizes.

Average temperatures for October: Tripoli between 20 and 28 degrees, Beirut 21 and 29 degrees, Zahle between 13 and 27 degrees.

Warning regarding heavy rainfall starting from tomorrow noon and the formation of some floods on roads.

Expected weather in Lebanon:

Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a drop in temperatures. Scattered rains will fall, sometimes heavy, especially during the evening period, accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds that sometimes intensify up to 75 km/h in the north of the country. Fog forms on the heights, leading to poor visibility.

Friday: Cloudy with an additional drop in temperatures. Scattered rains fall in the morning, then the weather gradually stabilizes starting from the afternoon period. Rains completely recede in the evening, and the weather turns partly cloudy with the continued appearance of fog on the heights.

Saturday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with high clouds, a rise in temperatures, and the continued appearance of fog on the heights.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with high clouds and a rise in temperatures.

Surface winds: Southwesterly, sometimes active, speed between 15 and 40 km/h.

Visibility: Average on the coast and poor on the heights due to fog.
