Man Nudifies in Front of Mosque in Downtown Beirut; Suspect Has Prior Record
Lebanese Internal Security Forces arrested a man who exposed himself in front of the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque in downtown Beirut. The suspect, identified as R.D., had previously been detained for similar indecent exposure offenses.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
A video clip circulated on social media platforms showing a person performing exhibitionist acts and exposing themselves in front of the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque in the downtown Beirut area.
Immediately thereafter, the Downtown Beirut Police Station within the Beirut Police Unit launched investigations and inquiries. They managed to identify the license plate number of the car the individual arrived in and departed with, thereby determining the identity of its owner, named:
R. D. (born in 1989, Lebanese)
After reviewing surveillance camera recordings in the area, police officers suspected that the person appearing in the video might be the aforementioned car owner.
A check of his record revealed that he had previously been arrested on January 12, 2026, for charges of indecent exposure and offending public morals inside a restaurant in the Ashrafieh district.
Following continued monitoring and investigations, the station located his residence, where he was arrested in coordination with the Doukhaneh Station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit.
During interrogation, he confessed to exposing himself in front of the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque and committing similar acts in several Lebanese areas, claiming that his actions fell under the category of art and freedom of expression.
Legal proceedings were initiated against him, and he was referred to the competent authority, based on the instruction of the relevant judiciary.
