The Minister of Social Affairs completed her southern tour, with the town of Froun in the Bint Jbeil district serving as her second stop after Jouaya. The visit carried humanitarian and social dimensions, particularly as Froun borders Wadi al-Hujair and lies in a confrontation zone with Israeli occupation.

She was received by Ms. Sayed and the head of Qatar Charity office, Mohamed Zahra; the mayor of Froun, Hassan Adel Bazzi; and a crowd of residents, municipal figures, and social activists.

During the meeting, Minister Sayed spoke about the importance of monitoring the situation of displaced persons and standing by their side amid the difficult conditions prevailing in the south. She emphasized the necessity of enhancing humanitarian and social aid, working to provide suitable shelter centers, and securing basic needs for affected families.

For his part, the mayor of Froun, Hassan Adel Bazzi, welcomed the minister and the accompanying delegation, appreciating this visit which reflects official concern for the situation of southern towns and their people. He stressed the importance of continuing support and assistance, especially in light of the challenges facing the town and its residents.

In turn, the head of the Qatar Charity office, Mohamed Zahra, spoke about Qatar's interest and keenness to stand by Lebanon and its people, particularly during difficult humanitarian circumstances. He affirmed the importance of continuing relief and humanitarian efforts to support affected families and displaced persons.

At the conclusion of the visit, a number of ready-made residential units designated for housing displaced persons were handed over. This step aims to provide decent shelter for families forced by circumstances to leave their homes and to strengthen resilience factors in this southern region.
