Ministry of Finance: Temporary Closure of the Transfer Tax and Indirect Taxes Departments

The Ministry of Finance announced in a statement that, "due to the transfer of the Transfer Tax Department and the Indirect Taxes Department from the Ministry of Finance building – Bashir al-Khouri to the Ministry of Finance building – Corniche al-Nahr – Al-Adliah Roundabout (ground floor), both departments will be temporarily closed to visitors starting Monday, 03/08/2026 until Wednesday, 05/08/2026 inclusive.

This closure is to allow completion of the relocation works, setup, and reorganization of operations at the new office, ensuring smooth operations and continued delivery of services at the highest standard.

Therefore, the Ministry of Finance appeals to citizens and all individuals with official matters to take note of the above closure dates and postpone their visits during this period. The reception of visitors will resume starting Thursday, 06/08/2026, at the new office located at the Ministry of Finance – Corniche al-Nahr – Al-Adliah Roundabout (ground floor).
