Mobile Sector Workers' Union Announces Election Date
The Executive Council of the Lebanese Mobile and Communications Workers' Union held a meeting to set the date for general elections, scheduled for August 26, 2026. Registration for candidates will close on August 22, 2026.

The Executive Council of the Lebanese Mobile and Communications Workers' Union held a meeting presided over by union president Paul Zaytoun, with attendance from members, and one agenda item: conducting the union's general elections.
After discussion on the elections, all parties agreed, according to a statement, setting the date for the general elections on August 26, 2026, at the Workers' House from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If quorum is not met, the elections will be postponed to September 3, 2026, at the same location and time, for those present.
Candidate nominations have been opened, and applications must be submitted with recent notarial records by 10:00 AM on Friday, August 22, 2026.
Union president Paul Zaytoun has been tasked with completing all procedures and coordinating with the Ministry of Labor authorities.
