A patrol from the Tripoli Branch of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Unit managed to arrest nine individuals of Syrian nationality after they illegally entered Lebanese territory through the northern border, traveling in a Mercedes jeep.

The statement indicated that the arrest followed a pursuit during which gunfire was fired, damaging the vehicle's tires, leading to its immobilization and the apprehension of the nine individuals along with the vehicle, who were taken to the Tripoli Customs Center where investigations began under the supervision of the competent judiciary to take necessary legal actions.
