Official Spokesperson for UNIFIL: We Support Any Initiative That Contributes to Reducing Violence

The official spokesperson for UNIFIL, Candice Ardiel, said that "international peacekeeping forces in Lebanon support any initiative that contributes to reducing violence and limiting violations of Resolution 1701. However, despite the agreement and subsequent extensions, we continue to witness ongoing violence and violations on the ground. We continue to urge all parties to exercise restraint and de-escalate."
