Partly cloudy weather with fog on elevated areas and temperatures below average

Forecasted by the Meteorological Department at the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy with dense fog on elevated areas and no significant change in temperatures.

The bulletin states:

-General outlook: Typical autumnal weather will prevail over Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean basin, with temperatures below seasonal averages along coastal regions until Monday, when it will become variable with a drop in temperatures, particularly inland and above mountains, accompanied by occasionally strong winds and scattered rainfall.

Average September temperatures: Tripoli between 22 and 32°C, Beirut 24 to 32°C, Zahle between 16 and 32°C.

-Expected weather in Lebanon:

Friday: Partly cloudy with dense fog on elevated areas and no noticeable change in temperatures, turning cloudy in the evening with possible drizzle on elevated areas.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with dense fog on elevated areas and no noticeable change in temperatures.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with fog on elevated areas and no noticeable change in temperatures. Winds may strengthen occasionally in northern regions, with an increase in wave height.

Monday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog on elevated areas and no noticeable change in coastal temperatures, while temperatures will drop noticeably inland and above mountains, with scattered rain possible, sometimes accompanied by lightning and thunder and strong winds, leading to increased wave height.

-Coastal temperatures from 22 to 30 degrees, mountainous areas from 16 to 25 degrees, inland areas from 16 to 32 degrees.

-Surface winds: Northwesterly, speed between 10 and 30 km/h.

-Visibility: Moderate along the coast, poor at times on elevated areas due to fog.

-Relative humidity along the coast: between 40 and 75%.

-Sea conditions: Low wave height, surface water temperature: 28°C.

-Atmospheric pressure: 761 mm Hg.
