President Aoun Rejects Any Negotiation on Lebanon's Behalf
President Michel Aoun condemns Israeli attacks and insists no one will negotiate on Lebanon's behalf, emphasizing state sovereignty and urgent financial reforms.

President Michel Aoun condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on civilians, noting the death of four individuals yesterday in Nabatieh. He reiterated his call for the international community to pressure Israel to respect the ceasefire.
During a meeting with delegations from the Free Patriotic Movement, the Association of Banks, and the Change Movement, President Aoun stated, "I will not accept under any circumstances that anyone negotiates on behalf of Lebanon." He highlighted that Lebanon has secured from Israel a recognition of having no territorial ambitions on Lebanese land. He emphasized that "the state train has departed, and the decision to maintain exclusive state control over weapons will be implemented, with no alternative to establishing the state to serve the interests of all Lebanese."
He further remarked, "We cannot wait for stability to be achieved before addressing financial and economic issues," stressing the importance of passing the law on the reorganization of banks and the financial gap law.
