Public Prosecutor General Holds Meeting to Determine Implementation Steps for Amnesty Law and Penalty Reduction

Public Prosecutor General Judge Rami al-Haj held a judicial meeting in his office, attended by some public prosecutors and members of the public prosecution, along with the Commander of the Internal Security Forces and the Director of Prisons, to determine operational steps for implementing the amnesty law and reducing penalties.

This meeting is part of preparatory efforts aimed at preparing files for all convicts, including necessary documents, pending the outcome of the constitutional review of the law as challenged before the Constitutional Council.

Meanwhile, al-Haj departed for Egypt, accompanied by a judicial delegation to participate in the general assembly of Arab Public Prosecutors taking place in Al-Alamein City.

This exceptional meeting aims to establish what is known as the Arab Public Prosecutors Council under the umbrella of the Arab League, with the goal of strengthening direct judicial cooperation among its members, particularly in combating terrorism and its financing, and money laundering.
