Resamni Refers File on Meklees and Mansourieh Floods to the General Public Prosecutor

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced in a statement that "in the context of following up on the aftermath of the floods in the Meklees area and the preliminary data regarding the construction project in Mansourieh, Minister of Public Works and Transport Faiz Resamni has filed a complaint before the General Public Prosecutor, requesting necessary investigations, identification of responsibilities, and accountability for anyone proven to have been negligent or careless."

The ministry emphasized that "the investigation must include all relevant parties without exception, from the contractor and supervising consulting body to any individual found responsible."

It noted that it "has taken a precautionary measure prohibiting the assignment of any new works to the involved contractor or consulting body until investigations conclude and responsibilities are clarified, with all documents and technical reports made available to the judiciary."

Resamni stressed that "public safety and public funds do not tolerate any leniency, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable according to the law, regardless of their position or status."
