Spoiled Meat Seized During Inspection Rounds in Tyre and Sidon
Economy and Trade Directorate inspectors seized approximately 115 kilograms of expired or improperly stored frozen meat, chicken, and cheese during raids on storage facilities in Sidon and Tyre.

As part of intensified oversight regarding the safety of meat and food products, patrols from the Economy and Trade Directorate's inspectors in the South conducted inspection rounds on warehouses storing meat and frozen food items in the areas of Sidon and Tyre.
The Directorate announced in a statement that "during one of the rounds, a quantity of approximately 115 kilograms of frozen meat, frozen prepared chicken, as well as cheeses, was seized. It was found that part of it was expired, while other parts did not meet the required storage and preservation conditions."
Immediately, the seized quantity was impounded under an impoundment report pending written approval from the Public Prosecution for disposal, and a violation report was drawn up regarding the committed infractions.
The Economy and Trade Directorate in the South affirmed "the continuation of its regulatory rounds and the taking of necessary legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in violations affecting food safety and consumer health."
