Families of detained Islamists held a sit-in at the Makser al-Abd roundabout in front of the Hajj Bahaeddine al-Hariri Mosque in Sidon, as part of their ongoing protests rejecting the general amnesty law. The sit-in included speeches rejecting the law in its current form, stressing the release of all detained Islamists, foremost among them Sheikh Ahmed al-Assir.

The protesters affirmed their continuation of their protests until the demands are met.
