Slight Drop in Temperatures and Dense Fog Over Elevated Areas in Lebanon

Forecast by the Forecasting Division at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's Meteorological Service: Tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy, gradually turning cloudy, with a slight decrease in temperatures in the interior and no significant change on the mountains and along the coast, with possible scattered showers in the evening hours and continued occurrence of dense fog over medium elevations, resulting in poor visibility.

The bulletin reads as follows:

-General Conditions: A relatively unstable autumnal weather pattern prevails over Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean basin, with temperatures within seasonal averages.

Seasonal average temperatures for September: Tripoli between 22 and 32°C, Beirut 24 to 32°C, Zahle between 16 and 32°C.

-Weather Forecast for Lebanon:

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with stable temperatures along the coast and a slight drop in temperatures over the mountains and in the interior, accompanied by active winds and dense fog over elevated areas, leading to poor visibility.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, gradually turning cloudy, with a slight temperature decrease in the interior and no significant change on the mountains and along the coast, with a chance of scattered showers in the evening hours and continued presence of dense fog over medium elevations, with poor visibility.

Friday: Partly cloudy with no noticeable change in temperatures along the coast and a drop in temperatures over the mountains and in the interior, with fog persisting over elevated areas.

Saturday: Generally partly cloudy with no significant change in temperatures along the coast and over the mountains, and a slight increase in temperatures in the interior, with continued formation of fog over elevated areas.

-Temperatures along the coast: 23 to 31 degrees, over the mountains: 14 to 24 degrees, in the interior: 15 to 30 degrees.

-Surface winds: Southwesterly, occasionally strong during the day and weakly variable at night, speed ranging from 10 to 40 km/h.

-Visibility: Good along the coast, moderate to poor at times over elevated areas due to fog.

-Relative humidity along the coast: between 60 and 80%.

-Sea conditions: Rough, surface water temperature: 29°C.
