Syria has initiated formal procedures to reclaim Suleiman Hala al-Assad following his arrest in Lebanon, with Beirut expected to officially receive the extradition request early next week.
"Al-Hadath" reported citing sources stating that "Syria has begun formal procedures to recover Suleiman Hala al-Assad after his detention in Lebanon."
The sources added that "the Syrian request documents pursuing Suleiman al-Assad for crimes of murder, rape, and drugs," noting that "Beirut may officially receive the extradition request for Suleiman al-Assad early next week."
