Taymour Joumblatt discusses with the head of the doctors' syndicate the file of raising retirees' pensions

The head of the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Taymour Joumblatt, received in his office in Clemenceau the head of the Beirut Doctors' Syndicate, Dr. Elias Shalala.

During the meeting, the discussion revolved around the syndicate's role in formulating public health policies, and emphasizing the importance of raising the pensions of retired doctors, a file that the syndicate is working on, in addition to discussing a number of required health legislations, some of which MP Joumblatt submitted through the head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, MP Dr. Bilal Abdullah.

The meeting was attended by member of the "Democratic Gathering" MP Wael Abu Faour, the Secretary-General of the "Progressive" party Zafer Nasser, advisor to MP Joumblatt Hussam Harb, the deputy head of the doctors' syndicate Dr. Zouhair Omar, the head of the Progressive Graduates Association Dr. Samer Al-Oud, and the head of the doctors' sector in the association Dr. Rabih Seifeddine.
