Trump's Message to Aoun: Impressed by Your Decisive Leadership of Lebanon at This Stage

Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun received a message from U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he expressed his happiness about President Aoun's visit to the White House on July 21st, and his admiration for Aoun's leadership of Lebanon at this stage. The letter stated: "It was an honor to welcome you to the White House for a visit that is historic in every sense of the word—the first visit by a Lebanese head of state in nearly two decades. Amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East, I am impressed by your decisive leadership on behalf of Lebanon and its people."

President Trump also thanked President Aoun for awarding him the National Order of the Cedar, Grand Cordon, and said: "This gesture constitutes an exceptional tribute and embodies the noble spirit of Lebanon, and I will cherish this gesture as a symbol of our shared commitment to peace, security, and prosperity around the world."
