After Midterm Defeat, Trump Plans 'Changes' in US Administration
President Donald Trump announced potential changes to his administration following Republican midterm losses, while appointing Stephen Miller as White House Chief of Staff.

US President Donald Trump revealed in an interview with the American channel "CBS News" that he expects to make "changes" in the US administration, just hours before announcing the appointment of Stephen Miller as White House Chief of Staff, succeeding Susie Wiles.
Trump stated during his interview with the program "60 Minutes," which will be broadcast on Sunday, that he may dismiss some members of his team after the Republicans' defeat in the midterm elections.
Trump said: "I love my cabinet members, and I think they are good. But... I might make some changes," confirming that he trusts Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and that he is "safe" from dismissal at least for now.
Regarding Hegseth, he said: "We won two wars. We won in Venezuela and already got billions of dollars. And we will get more billions; we won that war in less than an hour."
It is noted that earlier this year, three senior figures left the administration: Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, and Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer, prior to Susan Wiles's departure.
