Tuesday Weather Warning: Lightning, Thunder and Sudden Heavy Rain

The Estimation Department at the Meteorological Directorate within the General Directorate of Civil Aviation predicted that tomorrow's weather would be partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures and fog over the heights. Winds will sometimes be active, clouds will thicken from the afternoon onwards, and conditions will be favorable at night for scattered rainfall, especially in the north of the country.

The bulletin stated the following:

General Situation: Autumnal weather prevails over Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin with some local fluctuations. It is expected that the basin will gradually be affected by a low-pressure system of limited effectiveness starting Monday evening and continuing until Wednesday morning, when it will become stable.
Average temperatures for October: Tripoli between 20 and 28°C, Beirut 21 and 29°C, Zahle between 13 and 27°C.

Expected Weather in Lebanon:

Sunday: Few clouds to partly cloudy with medium and high clouds, fog over the heights, and a limited rise in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland. Clouds will thicken from the afternoon onwards, making conditions favorable for scattered rainfall, especially in the north of the country, while winds will sometimes be active.

Monday: Partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures and fog over the heights. Winds will sometimes be active, clouds will thicken from the afternoon onwards, and conditions will be favorable at night for scattered rainfall, especially in the north of the country.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog over the heights. Scattered rain will fall, sometimes heavy, accompanied by active winds with lightning and thunder. Temperatures will also drop further to become below their seasonal averages.

Wednesday: Few clouds to partly cloudy with a rise in temperatures.

- Temperature on the coast: 17 to 26 degrees; above the mountains: 10 to 20 degrees; inland: 10 to 21 degrees.
- Surface winds: Southwesterly, speed ranging between 15 and 35 km/h.
- Visibility: Good on the coast, sometimes average over the heights due to fog.
- Relative humidity on the coast: Between 55 and 70%.
- Sea condition: Choppy. Water surface temperature: 28°C.
- Atmospheric pressure: 1020 hPa, equivalent to: 765 mm Hg.
