Unstable autumn weather in Lebanon with slight temperature drop

Forecast by the Meteorological Department of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation predicts that tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with no significant change in temperatures along the coast and in the interior, and a slight drop in mountainous regions, while fog remains prevalent on elevated areas. Scattered showers are expected in mountainous regions starting from the afternoon.

The bulletin states:

- General outlook: Relatively unstable autumn weather will dominate Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean basin over the next two days, with temperatures within seasonal averages. By Saturday, conditions will become stable.

- Average September temperatures: Tripoli between 22 and 32°C, Beirut 24 to 32°C, Zahle between 16 and 32°C.

- Expected weather in Lebanon:

Thursday: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy, with a slight temperature drop in the interior, no significant change on mountains and the coast. Dense fog is expected on elevated areas, with scattered showers anticipated from the afternoon onward.

Friday: Partly cloudy to slightly cloudy, with no significant temperature changes along the coast and in the interior, and a slight drop in mountainous areas, while fog persists on elevated terrain. Scattered showers are expected in mountainous regions starting from the afternoon.

Saturday: Generally slightly cloudy, with no significant temperature changes along the coast and mountains, and a slight rise in the interior, while fog continues to form on elevated areas.

Sunday: Slightly cloudy to partly cloudy, with fog on elevated areas, no significant temperature changes, and occasional stronger winds, especially in northern regions.

- Coastal temperatures: 23 to 31 degrees, mountainous areas: 13 to 22 degrees, inland: 14 to 27 degrees.

- Surface winds: Northwest during the day, southwest at night, speed between 10 and 30 km/h.

- Visibility: Moderate along the coast, poor at times on elevated areas due to fog.

- Relative humidity along the coast: between 60 and 80%.

- Sea conditions: Low wave height, surface water temperature: 29°C.

- Atmospheric pressure: 763 mmHg.
