The State Department said: "We resume the political track of negotiations on the second and third of June."
It announced the launch of a security track at the Pentagon on May 29 with the participation of military delegations from Lebanon and Israel.
It expressed hope that these discussions would lead to "enhancing sustainable peace, full recognition of the sovereignty of both countries, and establishing genuine security along their shared borders."
