Video: Israeli Army Announces Temporary End of Golani Brigade Mission in South Lebanon

Israeli army spokesperson Ella Waouya posted footage on the "X" platform showing forces from the Golani Brigade combat team exiting after seven months of operational activity in southern Lebanon.

She wrote on her X account: "Forces of the Golani Brigade combat team, under the command of the 36th Division, operated in the security zone in southern Lebanon to remove threats to the State of Israel. They are now leaving for a recovery period. During recent months, the forces operated in the Mount Shqif (Beaufort) area and recently completed a focused military operation to destroy infrastructure in the Litani River region."

She added: "The forces destroyed more than 900 infrastructures used by the Hezbollah organization and found warehouses containing weapons including RPG shells, explosive devices, booby-trapped drones, and Kalashnikov-type arms."

Golani Brigade Commander Colonel Ayoob Kiyuf said during the closing ceremony of the combat activity: "During these months we worked with the spirit of Golani. In Golani we always win; we do not return before completing the mission; we never break; we lead our fighters closely; we preserve the heroism and legacy of those who fell; and we remain human even when facing the enemy. This is how we worked, and this is how we will continue to work."

He added: "We paid a heavy price during the fighting in these months, but there is also fruit from this fighting. Look around you: towns living their lives and celebrating holidays, businesses open, and kindergartens continuing their routine. For this we fought, and for this we continue to fight," according to the Israeli army spokesperson.
