The Presidency of the Council of Ministers issued a memorandum declaring Monday, May 25, 2026, an official holiday in solidarity with the families of martyrs, the wounded, prisoners, displaced persons, and the people in the south and front-line villages.
Issued by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers the following memorandum:
"In solidarity with the families of the martyrs and with the wounded, prisoners, displaced persons, and our people in the south and the front-line villages, and in support of their steadfastness, Monday, the twenty-fifth of May 2026, is declared an official holiday, and all public administrations, institutions, municipalities, their unions, schools, and universities are closed."
