Youth Minister Distributes Gifts to 500 Displaced Children at Sports City on Eid al-Adha

Youth and Sports Minister Nora Bayrakdarian visited the Camille Chamoun Sports City to greet displaced people on Eid al-Adha, distributing gifts to approximately 500 children from displaced families residing there.

Youth and Sports Minister Nora Bayrakdarian visited the Camille Chamoun Sports City, greeting the displaced on the blessed Eid al-Adha.

Bayrakdarian distributed gifts to approximately 500 boys and girls from displaced families residing in the Sports City, in a symbolic gesture. She said: "On the blessed Eid al-Adha, we wanted to be with the children, because the joy of Eid begins with their smile."

She added: "Our presence today at the Camille Chamoun Sports City is not just about distributing gifts, but a message of love and hope affirming that the state must remain close to its people, especially children and youth."

She continued: "Eid is an occasion for solidarity and togetherness, and Lebanon, despite all challenges, is still capable of creating joy and upholding its human and national values. From our position in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, we will continue to work so that sports and youth spaces remain places of life, joy, and belonging."

Participating in the tour, gift distribution, and event organization were a group of scouts from several Lebanese scout associations, led by the General Commissioner of the Lebanese Scout Federation and Head of the Disaster Management Committee in the Federation, Fayza Kanbar, and the Disaster Management Coordinator for the Beirut Region, Haitham Sharaf, in a symbolic expression of the unity of Lebanon's youth from all regions and sects.

Also participating in the organization and gift distribution was the Youth and Children's Sector of the Lebanese Red Cross, represented by a number of volunteers.

Accompanying Bayrakdarian on her tour were the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the General Institution for Facilities, Naji Hammoud; the Head of the Youth Department at the Ministry, Hassan Sharara, who organized this initiative; member of the Institution's Board of Directors, Zakaria Sharara; the Acting Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry, Cynthia Maalouf; Rita Rizk from the Minister's office; and Youth Department employees Haidar Qleit, Mohammed Al-Shamaa, and Edgar Blanc.
