Radar Online reports Amazon is considering backing a Princess Diana documentary by Prince Harry, potentially linked to ongoing Invictus Games sponsorship talks.

A potential partnership with the streaming giant could see Amazon finance a tribute film dedicated to the late Princess Diana. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly developing this documentary in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of his mother’s death next year.
New information from Radar Online suggests that discussions regarding the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham may extend beyond sports sponsorship. While Harry and the Invictus Foundation negotiate a major deal with Amazon for the upcoming games, the company is also exploring support for a separate Diana documentary.
An insider stated: “Harry has been exploring ideas around the 30th anniversary of his mother’s death, including a documentary, and Amazon would absolutely recognize the value of securing something like that for Prime Video.” Although negotiations for the two projects remain distinct and in early stages, Amazon has not ruled out pursuing both opportunities.
If finalized, this collaboration would provide Harry with a significant platform for a personal project honoring his mother’s legacy. It would also offer the Duke and Meghan Markle another major streaming outlet following the reported conclusion of their previous agreement with Netflix.
The move positions Amazon in direct competition with its rival, leveraging the global interest surrounding the Sussexes and Diana’s enduring impact. Reports indicate Harry recognizes the strategic value of such a partnership and hopes the discussions will succeed.
Separately, the Invictus Foundation is seeking approximately $27 million to stage the 2027 Games in Birmingham. This funding supports the event’s mission to assist wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.
